About me

"A good painting to me has always been like a friend. It keeps me company, comforts and inspires" - Hedy Lamarr

Welcome to a short trip to my creations – paintings I made over a period of time, paintings that reflect my passion
for the art, paintings I expect would give me a strong footing professionally. I have displayed a few of my paintings in this blog to share with you all. I will try my best to make your every visit to this blog fresh by updating with my current projects.

I am a Mumbai based artist, now living in The United States Of America. After completing my M.Com & MBA in Finance, I chose to take up painting as my full-time profession. Painting has always been part of my life and now it has become the most important one. I would always be thankful to my Guru Mrs. Neelam Hemrajani, who not only helped in fine-tuning my painting skills but also helped me think big in the painting world.

Eventually, I would like to use this platform to share my thoughts and experiences with painting and related topics
and invite enthusiastic folks to share their opinions too. This effort I am sure will be a small contribution from my side to the big ocean of art. I would also like to get in touch with like minded people, artists, and connoisseurs of art through this forum, share ideas and promote mutual learning.

I would encourage you to contact me at reena.pch@gmail.com

Rooster - AVAILABLE

Slinging a little paint around 🎨
Rooster,48”x48” Acrylic on Canvas.
Late last evening I started this new piece and got done with it. For me to get into the deeply focused creative zone and make this kind of progress on a large scale painting in one day: 1 hour 40 mins to be precise 😌, I shut off all digital distractions and reach for my paint brushes instead of opening my laptop/phone- which inevitably eats up hours of the day which I could be painting..
I’m enjoying this method of painting once in awhile instead of my detailed Oil paintings. This technique is just splashing paints all over and going with the flow with whatever comes in mind at that moment and while also creating textures with-fingers, knife, back of the brush.. just about anything. 💕
