About me

"A good painting to me has always been like a friend. It keeps me company, comforts and inspires" - Hedy Lamarr

Welcome to a short trip to my creations – paintings I made over a period of time, paintings that reflect my passion
for the art, paintings I expect would give me a strong footing professionally. I have displayed a few of my paintings in this blog to share with you all. I will try my best to make your every visit to this blog fresh by updating with my current projects.

I am a Mumbai based artist, now living in The United States Of America. After completing my M.Com & MBA in Finance, I chose to take up painting as my full-time profession. Painting has always been part of my life and now it has become the most important one. I would always be thankful to my Guru Mrs. Neelam Hemrajani, who not only helped in fine-tuning my painting skills but also helped me think big in the painting world.

Eventually, I would like to use this platform to share my thoughts and experiences with painting and related topics
and invite enthusiastic folks to share their opinions too. This effort I am sure will be a small contribution from my side to the big ocean of art. I would also like to get in touch with like minded people, artists, and connoisseurs of art through this forum, share ideas and promote mutual learning.

I would encourage you to contact me at reena.pch@gmail.com

The Buddha - SOLD

I have been asked my many if I follow Buddhism? This question doesn't come to me as a surprise as I have collected quite a few Buddha statues from my travels. I get a sense of rest, calm, peace and depth when working on his paintings. But the real connection still remains a mystery to me. Meanwhile, I would like to share a quote on Buddhism which reads, 'We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. WIth our thoughts, we make the world'. I am happy & love being in my world filled with colors. I hope that each one of you is making the most out of the world you live in. Also a little about this painting: 12" X 12" Oil on canvas. I tried using a new texture technique using my brush instead of the usual palette knife.
