About me

"A good painting to me has always been like a friend. It keeps me company, comforts and inspires" - Hedy Lamarr

Welcome to a short trip to my creations – paintings I made over a period of time, paintings that reflect my passion
for the art, paintings I expect would give me a strong footing professionally. I have displayed a few of my paintings in this blog to share with you all. I will try my best to make your every visit to this blog fresh by updating with my current projects.

I am a Mumbai based artist, now living in The United States Of America. After completing my M.Com & MBA in Finance, I chose to take up painting as my full-time profession. Painting has always been part of my life and now it has become the most important one. I would always be thankful to my Guru Mrs. Neelam Hemrajani, who not only helped in fine-tuning my painting skills but also helped me think big in the painting world.

Eventually, I would like to use this platform to share my thoughts and experiences with painting and related topics
and invite enthusiastic folks to share their opinions too. This effort I am sure will be a small contribution from my side to the big ocean of art. I would also like to get in touch with like minded people, artists, and connoisseurs of art through this forum, share ideas and promote mutual learning.

I would encourage you to contact me at reena.pch@gmail.com

Little Ganesha

A 16"X20" oil on canvas, depicting Lord Ganesha in a playful avatar. I have used beads to enhance the jewelry, as I felt it suited the way Indian Gods are depicted. This painting is for sale. If interested in getting this or a commissioned one of any preferred choice or size, please feel free to send me an email.

Rossetti Recreation

This is a 4'x5' oil on canvas.  Inspired by Dante Gabriel Rossetti's paintings. His paintings are usually in very faint colors, but I used very strong colors to compose this painting. It is my version of these two ladies spending time playing music overseeing a bright green scenery in the background.

Tea Cups

This is a 12" X 22" oil on canvas. This is a painting of 4 cups balanced one over the other. This is one of our everyday occurrences where we see things like this.

Venice- Knife Painting

This is a 30" X 30" oil on canvas painting done using knife. I have used different hues of blue for the sky and thus it's reflection can be seen in the water as well.
